Water supply and drainage. <br /> <br /> <br /> (a) Filling of pools via fire hydrants shall require <br /> municipal approval. <br /> (b) There shall be no fixed or direct connection of any <br /> swimming pool to any potable water supply. <br /> (c) Drainage of swimming pools onto public streets or ini public drainage ways shall not be permitted without <br /> <br /> municipal approval. <br /> (d) Pools shall be constructed and operated in such <br /> manner that backflush water or water from pool drainage <br /> shall pass into an approved public drainage way or shall <br /> remain on the property of the owner, and water shall not be <br /> permitted to drain from the pool, directly or indirectly onto <br /> property other than that of the owner. (Ord. No. 143, § 4.3, <br /> 5-10-71) <br /> <br /> Sec. 23-18. Electrical. <br /> All electrical work shall conform to the National <br /> Electrical Code. (Ord. No. 143, § 4.4, 5-10-71) <br /> <br /> Sec. 23-19. Safety fencing. <br /> <br /> (a) All pools shall be provided with safeguarda to prevent <br /> children from gaining uncontrolled access. This can be <br /> accomplished with fencing or screening or a combination <br /> thereof of sufficient density as to be impenetrable. <br /> (b) All fence openinga or points of entry into the pool area <br /> enclosure shall be equipped with gates. <br /> (c) All gates ahall be equipped with self-closing and <br /> self-latching devices placed on the top of the gate or <br /> otherwise inaccessible to small children.
