No. 258, § 1, <br /> 6-13-88) <br /> Sec. 28-20. Deficiency and shutting off water. <br /> <br /> The city skall not be liable for any deficiency or failure in <br /> the supply of water to consumers, whether occasioned by <br /> shutting the water off for the purpose of making repairs or <br /> connections, or from any other cause whatever. In case of <br /> fire, or alarm of fire, or in making repairs or construction of <br /> new works, water may be shut off at any time and kept shut <br /> off as long as necessary. (Ord. No. 103, § 1.5, 11-13-67) <br /> Sec. 28-21. Supply from one service. <br /> No more than one housing unit or building shall be <br /> supplied from one service connection except by special <br /> permiasion of the commissioner. Whenever two (2) or more <br /> such housing units or buildinga are supplied from one pipe <br /> connecting to a diatribution main each building or part of <br /> building muat have a separate stop box and a separate <br /> meter. (Ord. No. 103, § 1.6, 11-13-67) <br /> Sec. 28-22. Tapping of mains prohibited. <br /> No person except those duly authorized by the city shall <br /> tap any distributing main or pipe of the water supply <br /> system, or inaert stop-cocks or ferrulea therein. (Ord. No. <br /> 103, § 1.7, 11-13-67) <br /> Sec. 28-23. Repair of leaks. <br /> It shall be the responsibility of the consumer or owner to <br /> • maintain the service pipe from the curb bog into the house <br /> or building. In case of failure upon the part of any consumer <br /> or owner to repair any leak occurring in his pipe within <br /> twenty-four (24) hours after verbal or written notice thereof, <br /> the water will be shut off and will not be turned on until the <br /> sum of ten dollars ($10.00) has been paid and the leak <br /> repaired. When the waste of water is great, or when damage <br /> is likely to result from the leak, the water may be turned off <br /> immediately pending repairs. (Ord.
