<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 28-24 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> <br /> Bec. 28-24. Abandoned services. <br /> (a) All service installationa that have been abandoned or <br /> have not been used for three (3) years shall be disconnected <br /> at the main by the city. All pipe and appurtenancea removed <br /> therefrom shall be the property of the city and any expense <br /> of the city in connection therewith shall be charged to the <br /> property. <br /> (b) When new buildings are erected on the site of old <br /> ones, and it is desired to increase or change the old water <br /> service, no connectiona with the mains shall be made until <br /> all the old service shall have been removed and the main <br /> connection plugged by the city. Any expenae of the city in <br /> connection therewith shall be charged to the property. <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, the commissioner shall have <br /> power, in his discretion, to permit continuance of the old <br /> service until the new service is connected to the property, <br /> when immediate removal of the old service would constitute <br /> a hardship.
