<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 28-69 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> <br /> Sec. 28-68. Rereading of ineters. <br /> A consumer may have hia meter reread by making written <br /> request therefor and depositing the amount stated below <br /> with the clerk-administrator at the time such request ia <br /> made. In the event the test ahows an error of over five (5) <br /> per cent of the water allegedly consumed the deposit will be <br /> ' refunded to the conaumer and a correctly-registering meter <br /> shall be installed, with the bill to be adjusted in accordance <br /> with the corrected reading. If there is no error or the error is <br /> less than five (5) per cent the deposit shall be retained by <br /> the city. Any adjustment shall not extend for more than one <br /> billing period before the date of the request for test. The <br /> deposit charges for meter testing shall be as established <br /> • from time to time in a resolution adopted by the council. <br /> (Ord. No. 103, § 4.1(c), 11-13-67; Ord. No. 217, § 34, <br /> 12-29-80) <br /> Sec. 28-70. R,ental fee. <br /> All meters, except those on a service line larger than two <br /> (2) inches which have been furnished and installed at the <br /> expense of the property owner and for which no security <br /> deposit has been made ahall be the property of the city. A <br /> rental fee equal to six (6) per cent per annum of the amount <br /> of the security deposit on each such water meter which is <br /> the property of the city shall be charged to the customer for <br /> the use of the city's water meter. With respect to each such <br /> water meter, for which a security deposit has been made, <br /> installed and in place on or before August 1, 1974, this <br /> rental fee shall be charged to the cuatomer using the same <br /> from August 1, 1974. For each such water meter, for which a <br /> security deposit has been made, installed after August 1, <br /> I 1974 this rental fee shall b h r ed to the customer usin <br /> ~ ec ag g <br /> the same from the date on which the security deposit was <br /> made.
