Compound meters. <br /> <br /> Where a potable water service line larger than two (2) <br /> inches is installed or where flows are sufficiently large in <br /> the opinion of the commissioner to require a meter larger <br /> than two (2) inches the occupant or owner of the subject <br /> premises shall cause to be furnished and installed a <br /> compound meter consisting of dual integral measuring <br /> elements for high and low flow rates. The type and <br /> manufacturer shall be as designated by the commiasioner. <br /> (Ord. No. 103, § 4.1(f), 11-13-67) <br /> Sec. 28-73. Fire protection system. <br /> Where a service line is installed to serve, in total or in <br /> part, a private fire protection system, the owner or <br /> occupancy of the premises shall cause to be furnished and <br /> installed on the line serving such purpose an approved <br /> detector check-type meter, approved as to make by the <br /> commissioner. Water meter setting. <br /> All water meters hereafter inatalled shall be installed in <br /> accordance with the following rules: <br /> (a) The service pipe from the water main to the meter, <br /> when the same enters the building, shall be brought <br /> through the floor or bottom course of concrete block <br /> foundation at a depth in accordance with the <br /> provisions of section 28-25 hereof. However, thia may <br /> be waived by the commiasioner if strict compliance <br /> with the provision would create a hardahip in a <br /> particular situation. <br /> (b) The meter shall be located so that the bottam ia from <br /> twelve (12) inches to twenty-four (24) inches above the ' <br /> finished floor line.
