Permissible reductions for senior cit- <br /> izens and disabled citizens. <br /> The council may, by resolution at its reasonable discre- <br /> tion, provide for reduced charges for usage of the municipal <br /> sanitary sewer system in cases of ownership or occupancy <br /> of the subject property by citizens sixty-five (65) years of <br /> age or older or by citizens who are totally disabled within <br /> the meaning of Social Security regulations. Recitals. <br /> Thg metropolitan sewer board has determined to reserve <br /> unused capacity in the metropolitan disposal system each <br /> year commencing in 1973 for local government units in <br /> which new buildings are to be connected to the system and <br /> new connections to the system are commenced during such <br /> year, and to allocate the debt service costs of such unused <br /> capacity for the year among such local government units. In <br /> order for the local government units to pay such coats <br /> allocated to them each year, it will be necessary to establish <br /> appropriate sewer service availability and connection <br /> charges. Establishment of charges. <br /> (a) For the purpose of paying costs of reserve capacity <br /> allocated to this city each year by the metropolitan sewer <br /> board, there is hereby established a charge for: <br /> (1) The availability of treatment works and interceptors <br /> comprising the metropolitan disposal system; and <br /> (2) Connections, direct and indirect, to the metropolitan <br /> diaposal system. <br /> <br /> I Supp. No. 3 <br /> 1675 <br />
