<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> f 28-138 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> (b) The charge shall be collected on the basis of bui:ding <br /> perim~ts issued 8fter January 1, 1973, or connection permits <br /> igbited fbr connectioris to be made after January 1, 1973, on <br /> the following basis: <br /> (1) The charge shall be payable on the issuance of each <br /> building permit for new construction issued after <br /> Joinuary 1, 1973. <br /> (2) A+charge shall be payable on the issuance of a <br /> building permit for alterations or additions to existing <br /> buildings if the alteration or addition will require <br /> additional reserve capacity, and the Service Availabil- <br /> ity Charge (SAC) unit shall be detLarmined on the <br /> same basis as for new buildings. <br /> (c) T'he charge shall be imposed on sewer connection <br /> pe;mits issued after January 1, 1973, except: <br /> (1) Where a SAC unit charge was made when. the <br /> building permit for the subject building was isaued. <br /> (2) VVhere a building permit for the subject building was <br /> issued prior to January 1, 1973, and the building was <br /> fiot served by an on-lot diaposal system. <br /> (3) Where the sewer connection permit was iasued before <br /> January 1, 1973, and the sewer to which the <br /> connection was to be made egisted prior to January 1, <br /> 1973. <br /> (d) The charge for each building shall be the product of <br /> the number of units of sewage volume which it will <br /> discharge and the dollar figure set forth in a resolution <br /> adopted by the council for the year in which the building <br /> permit is issued. A unit of sewage volume shall be one <br /> hundred thousand (100,000) gallons per year and shall be <br /> assigned as follows: <br /> (1) Single-family houses, townhouses and duplex units <br /> shall each comprise one unit; <br /> (2) Condominiums and apartments shall each comprise <br /> eighty (80) per cent of a unit; <br /> Supp. No. 3 <br /> 1676 <br />
