Buildings and facilitiea owned and <br /> operated by a corporation or association of persons for social, <br /> recreational, charitable, educational or cultural purposes, but <br /> not operated primarily for profit or for purpoaes which axe <br /> customarily asaociated with a business. <br /> (26) Commercial recreation. Recreational facilities which are <br /> operated for profit or render a service which ia customarily <br /> considered as a business. <br /> (27) Commission. The planning c;ommission, as established <br /> by the Cade of Ordinancea, City of Arden Iiills, Ohapter 20. <br /> (28) Comprehensive plan. A compilation of policy state- <br /> ments, goals, atandards and maps for guiding khe physical, <br /> social and economic development, both private and public, <br /> of the city and its environs and may include, but is not limited <br /> to, the following: 3tatements of policiea, goals, standards, <br /> a land use plan, a community facilities plan, a transportation <br /> plan, and recommendationa for plan execution. <br /> (29) Council. The city council. <br /> (30) Day care facility and residential facility. <br /> Day care facility means any facility, public or private, <br /> which for ga.in or otherwiae, regularly providea one or more <br /> persons with care, training, supervision, habilitation, rehabili- <br /> tation or develapmental guidance on a regular basis, for pe- <br /> riods of less than twenty-four (24) hours per day, in a place <br /> other than bhe peraons's own home, including but not limited <br /> to family day care homes, group family day care homes, day <br /> care centers, day nurseriea, nursery schoals, daytime activity <br /> centers, day treatment programs and day aervices. <br /> Residential facility means any facility, public or private, <br /> which for gain or otherwise, regularly provides one or more <br /> persons with a twenty-four-hour-per-day substitute for care, <br /> food, iodging, training, education, supervision, habilitation, re- <br /> habilitation and treatment they need, but which for any <br /> reason cannot be furnished in the person's own home, inclucl- <br /> ? ing but not limited to, atate institutions under the control <br /> 3upp. No. 9 1788 <br />
