AND REMOVING THE CAR HEYS, <br /> AND PAOVIDING PENALTIES FOR <br /> THE VIOLATION THEREOF <br /> The Village Council of the Village of <br /> ~ Arden Hills does ordain as follows: <br /> i Section 1. Requirement that ignition <br /> Ue locked and ear keys removed when <br /> ~ parked. <br /> No peraon shall leave a motor vehicle <br /> unattende@ on any public road or public <br /> property in the Village of Arden Hills, <br /> or upon any unattended parking lot gen- <br /> eraliy held open for the use of the <br /> pwblic and operated in connection with <br /> a commercial or business establishment <br /> in the Village af Arden Hills, without <br /> first stopping the engine, locking the <br /> I ignition, removing the key from the igni- <br /> tion of said motor vehicle, and taking <br /> the said key with him. <br /> Section 2. Police snthurized to remove <br /> keys. <br /> i Whenever any police officer of the <br /> Viliage finds any such motor vehicle <br /> standing in violation of Section 1 auch <br /> police officer is authorized and directed <br /> to remove therefrom the ignition key left <br /> therein and to deliver the same to the <br /> officer in charge of the police depart- <br /> ment. <br /> Section 3. Penalties. <br /> Any peraon violating ang provision of <br /> this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis- <br /> demeanor and upon conviction shall be <br /> puniahed by a fine not to exceed One <br /> Hundred Dollara ($100.00) or imprieon- <br /> ment not to exceed ninety (90) days. <br /> Section 4. Effective Date. <br /> This Ordinance shall become effective <br /> upon its passage and Dublication. <br /> Pasaed by the Village Council this 29 <br /> day of June, 1964. <br /> D. F. Kennedy.
