STATE OF MINNESOTA COITNTY OF RAM3EY VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS ORDINANCE NO. 74 ORDINANCE CHANGYNG COUNCII, SALA$IES WHEREAS, salaries of the mayor and trustees in the Village of Arden Hills have heretofore been set at $12.60 Der month for the mayor and $10.00 Ber month for the trustees by Council action in 1961.-and WHEREAS, Section 412.181 of Min- nesota Statwtes Annotated permits sal- srfes of $60.00 per month for the mayor and $55.00 per month for the txvstees in villages having the population and as- sesaed valuation of Arden Hille, and WHEREAS, the Couneil deems the preaent salaries of the mayor and trus- . tees insdequate to property compensate . . them for the work incident to.these of- fices, but the Council does mot wiah to set the salaries as high as would be permitted by the aforesaid statute, and WHEREAS, the aforesaid Section 412.181 authorizes the Council W increase the salaries of the mayor snd trusteea with the approval of the voters. THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS DOES HERE$Y O1t.DAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section L Commencing January 2, 1964, the sal- ary oE the mayor of Arden Hills ia fixed at $300.00 per year, paysble at tLe r$te of $25.00 per month ; and the salary of each trustee is fixed at $240.00 per year, Dayable at the rate of $20.00 per month. 8ectian 2. This Ordinance shall be swbmitted to the voters of the Village at the regular election on December. 3, 1968, and shall not become effective unless and until it ia approved by a majority of those voting uBOn the question as provided by law, nor in any event before the date specified in Section 1 hereo£ Adopted by the Village Conncil of Arden Aills this 26 day of November, 1963.
