~ 3TATE OF MINNE$OTA COUNTY OF RAMBEY VILLAGE OF ARDEN $ILLS ORDINANCE NO. 74 ORUINAN'CE CHANGING COUNCIL SALARIES WIiEREAS, salaries of the mayor snd trustees in the Village of Arden Hills have heretofore been set st $12.60 per month for the mayor and $10.00 Der month for the trustees by Council action in 1951, and WHEREAS, Seetion 412181 of Mia- neaota Statwtea Annotated permits sal- sries of $50.00 per month for the mayor and $35.00 per month for the trusteea in villages having the population and aa- sesaed valnation of Arden Hills, and WHEREAS, the Council deema the present salaries of the mayor and trus- . tees inadequate to Hroperty compensate them for the work incident to these of- ficea, but the Council does not wiah to set the salaries as high as would be permitted by the aforesaid atatute, end WHMREAB, the aforesaid Section 412.181 suthorizes the Council to incresse the salaries of the magor and truatees wfth the approval of the votere. THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLB DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Commencing Januarq 2, 1964, the sat- ~ ary af the mayor of Arden Hills is fixed at $300.00 per year, DaYable at the rate of $26.00 per month : and the salary af each trustee is fised at $240.00 per year, payable at the rate of $20.00 per month. Sectio4t 2. Thie Ordinance shall be awbmitted to the voters of the Villsge at the regular election on Deeember 3, 1968, and ahall not become effective untess and uati2 it is aFProved by a majority of those voting upon the 4nestion as provided by law, nor in any event before the date apecified in Seetion 1 hereof.
