• <br /> • <br /> LEGAL NOTICE <br /> VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILI.S4. <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> >' STATE OF MINNESOTA - <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY <br /> P`IsaR,'SON UNDER THE AGE OF TWEN- <br /> TI ONE YEARS FROM HAVING ANY. <br /> NON-INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR OR <br /> 114TOXMCATING LIQUOR, AS THE SAME <br /> ARE HEREIN DEFINED, IN HIS POS- <br /> SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CON- <br /> SUMPTION. BY HIM OR ANY OTHER <br /> MINOR, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES <br /> FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> The V11119e Connell of the Village of <br /> Arden Hills, Ramsey County, does hereby <br /> ordain as fellows: . <br /> SECTION 1 <br /> From and after the passage of,this <br /> --- ordinance, it shall be.unlawful for,any <br /> person.. under the age of 21 yearsto <br /> have non-intoxicating malt liquor or <br /> intoxicating liquor as the same are <br /> herein idefined,' in his possession for <br /> the purpose of consumption by him or <br /> any other, minor. Possession by a <br /> minor of any non-intoxicating malt <br /> i. liquor or intoxicating liquor shall be <br /> prima facie evidence. of intention to <br /> consume the same. <br /> SECTION 2 <br /> The 'words "non-intoxicating malt <br /> liquor" and the words 'intoxicating <br /> .liquor" are hereby defined to mean <br /> and include any distilled, fermented, <br /> sipritous, vinous or malt liquid of any <br /> kind, potable as a beverage, which <br /> contains an alcoholic content in excess' <br /> of one-half of one per cent by volume.. <br /> SECTION 3 - <br /> Any person violating the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall be guilty of a <br /> misdemeanor and punishable by a fine <br /> not exceeding $100.00 or by imprison- <br /> ment in the County Jail .for a period <br /> not exceeding 90 days. <br /> SECTION 4 <br /> This ordinance is hereby.declared to <br /> be an emergency ordinance rendered <br /> necessary for the preservation of the <br /> public peace, health and safety. <br /> SECTION b <br /> This ordinance shall take effect from j <br /> I and after the date of its publication. <br /> Passed by the Village Council this 27th <br /> 1 day of)kprii,;1953, <br /> WALTER CUMMINGS, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> SHIRLEY LUDLOW, Clerk, <br /> Published in the Rose Tribune this. 7th <br /> day of May, 1953. <br /> 25 Silp? <br />
