Aft., ORDINANCE NO. 14~ 7 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER SERVIGE AVAILASILITY Ab1D CONNECTZON CHARGES TO PAY RESERVE CAPACITY COSTS OF METROPOLITAN SEW$R BOARD. . The Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Recitals. The Metropolitan Sewer Board has deternune to reserve unu8ed capacity in the ntietropolitan disposal system each year conmencing in 1973 for ].ocal government units in which new buildinqs are to be connected to the system and new connections to the system are commenced during such year, and to allocate the debt service costs of such unused capacity for the year amonq such local government units. In order for the local government units to pay such costs allocated to ttiem each year, it wfll be necessary to establish appropriate sever service availability and eonnection charges. • Section 2. Establishment of Char es. For the purpose of paying costs o reserve capacity a.ocated to Arden Hilis each year by the Metropolitan 6ewer Board, there is hereby - established a charge for: (a) the availability of treatment works and interceptorg comprising the metropolitan ~ disposal systemp and a~ (b) connections, direct and indirect, to thei metropolitan disposal system. I The charge shall be collected on the basis of building permits issued after January 1, 1973, or connection permits issued for connections to be made after January 1, 1973, on the following basis: (c) The charge shall be payable on the issuance ~ ~ of each building permit for new construction issued after January 1, 1973. (d) A charge shall be.payable on the issuance of a building permit for alte,rations or adciitions to existing buildings if the alteration or addition will require additional reserve -capacity, and the Service Availability Charge (SAC) unit shall be determined on the same - I- :l
