<br /> Election Day Liquor Sales <br /> McNiesh reported that State law now permits the sale of liquor on <br /> the day of any state-wide election, but unless municipalities <br /> have amended their ordinances accordingly, municipalities may re- <br /> strict the sales on days of State-wide elections. McNiesh <br /> ` reported that Arden Hills has not amended its ordinance; conse- <br /> quently, liquor establishments have been advised that liquor may <br /> not be sold on September llth (Primary Election)• <br /> After discussion, Rauenhorst moved to amend the sections of the <br /> Arden Hills Code and to specifically allow the sale of liquor on <br /> the day of the Primary Election, September 11, 1984. Motion was <br /> seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> (Liquor establishments to be notified tMey may sell liquor on <br /> Tuesday, September 11, 1984.) <br />
