Amendment to Section 6-69 of the Arden HilZs <br /> Code. Section 6-69 of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended so <br /> that it is entitled and reads as fol.lows: <br /> "Sec. 6-69. Landscape Performance and Guarantee Bond <br /> or Letter of Credit. <br /> <br /> (a) In a case where screening, landscaping or <br /> other exterior improvement to p_roperty ather than <br /> the principal building itself is required by any <br /> other applicable provisions of this Code, plans and <br /> specificatians as approved for building or other <br /> use of the property, or appropriate council resolu- <br /> tion, a performance bond or letter of credit shall <br /> be required as a condition precedent to the issuance <br /> of the building permite The amount of such bond or <br /> letter of credit shall be determined by the council; <br /> provided, however, that in no event shall the council <br /> require a bond or letter of credit less than one <br /> hundred twenty-five percent (1250) of the required <br /> improvement as estimated by the landscape inspector <br /> or other inspector under whose jurisdiction the <br /> improvement falls, or their respective deputies. <br /> Said bond or letter of credit shall be approved by <br /> the city attarney as to sufficiency, form and execu- <br /> tion. In requiring said bond or letter of credit, <br /> the council shall stipulate the time within which the <br /> performance being bonded or assured is to be carried <br /> out. <br /> (b) Where the subject of the performance bond <br /> or letter of credit has been the installation or <br /> placement of landscaping or screening, said bond or <br /> letter of credit shall not be released, converted or <br />
