<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA . <br /> COUNTY OF, RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF ARDEN NILLS <br /> ORDINANCE N0.197 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDfNG ORDINANCE NO. 83, <br /> AS AMENDED, THE PERSONNEL ORDINANCE, BY <br /> ADDING PROVISIONS REGARDING FUNERAL <br /> LEAVE AND FLOATING HOIIDAY <br /> The City Council of Arden Hills ordains: <br /> Section 1. Amendment o} Section 3, Subdivision D of <br /> Ord. No. 83, as Amended. Section 3, Subdivisfon D of <br /> Ordinance No. 83, as amended, the Personnel Or- <br /> dinance, entitled "Emergency Leave of Absence", is <br /> hereby amended in its entireTy so ihat it is enTitled and <br /> reads as follows: <br /> Subdivision D. Emergency and Funeral Leaves of <br /> Absence. In the case of the absence of an employee due <br /> to a serious emergency, including a serious illness of a <br /> member of such employee's immediaTe family but <br /> excluding the death of a member of such immediate <br /> family, the Clerk AdministraTOr in his discretion may <br /> auThorize use of sick leave benefits up to a maximum of <br /> ihree days for each emergency within the IimiTS to whith the employee is entitled by his service credit. <br /> I n the case of the death of a member of an employee's immediate family, such employee shall be entiTled to <br /> three days' funeral leave with pay, which funeral leave <br /> shall not be credited against such employee's accrued sick leave benefits. <br /> Section 4. Amentlmenf of Section 1, Subdivision C of <br /> Ord. No. 83, as Amended. Section 1, Subdivision C of <br /> Ordinance No. 83, as amended, the Personnel Or- <br /> dinance, entiTled "Deflnitions", is hereby amended by <br /> adding to the end ihereof Paragraph No. 9 which reads <br /> as follows: <br /> 9. "Immediate family" means the spouse, parents, <br /> children, brothers and sisters of an employee and <br /> parenTS of the spouse of an employee. <br /> Section 3. Amendmenf of Section 3, Subdivision F of <br /> Ord. No. 63, as Amended. SecTion 3, Subdivision F of <br /> Ordinance No. 83, as amended, the Personnel Or- <br /> dinance, entitled "HOlidays", is hereby amended by <br /> adding Thereto, as the last paragraph ihereof, the <br /> following language: <br /> In addition To ihe nine (9) official holidays designaTed <br /> in the first paragraph of ihis Subdivision F, each em- <br /> ployee not on probation shall be entitled to a tenTh paid <br /> holiday of his choice provided the date he has selected <br /> for such tenth holiday has been first approved by his <br /> supervisor. <br /> Section 9. Amendment of Ord. Mo. 83, as Amended, by <br /> Substituting "City" for "Village" or "Clerk Ad- <br /> ministrator" for "Administrative Clerk" wherever the <br /> same appear. <br /> Wherever the word "Village" or "Administrative <br /> Clerk" appear in Ordinance No. 83, as Amended, the <br /> Personnel Ordinance, said words shall be deleted and <br /> the word "CiTy" or "Clerk AdminisTrator" shall be <br /> substituted therefor. <br /> Section S. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take <br /> effect and be in force from and after its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> Passed by the Council of the City of Arden Hills This <br /> 12Th day of May, 1975. <br /> Henry J.
