<br />								 	The  Village  Cauncil  of the  Village  of
<br />									Arden Hills dces herehy ordain as follows:							   	I
<br />								 	Section  I.  Ordinance No.  23  is hereby
<br />									repealed.											 	I
<br />								 	Sectidr  2.  It  shall be unlawful  for any
<br /> '									minor under the  age of  18  years to  luit-
<br />									ter,  idle  or  be  in  or  upon  the  pub;ic							   	~
<br />									streets,  highways,  raadst  alleys,  parks,
<br />									playgrounds or o'ther pubhc ground5, pub-							   	,
<br />									lic  places  and public buildings,  places of
<br />									amusement,   	entertainment,  ar  refresh-
<br />									inent,  vacar.t  lots  ar  other  unsvpervised							  	,
<br />									places between the hovrs of  10;00 o'cldck
<br />								'		P.M.  and 5:00 o'clock A.M. the follawing
<br />									day; provided, however, that the provisio'n
<br />									of  this  section  shall  nat  apply  to  such
<br />									miror  accompanied by  his or her  parent,
<br />									guardian  Ur  other  having  the  care  and
<br />									custaiy of  the minar  or when the  minor
<br />									is  upon  some  necessary  errand  by  per-							   	I
<br />									mission or direction csf his or her parents,
<br />									guardian or ather adult person havmg the
<br />									care and custody of the ininor, which  said
<br />									permission  shall be in writing and  signed
<br />									by  such  parent,  guardian  ar  other  adu'.t
<br />									person.
<br />								 	Sectian  3.  It  shall be  unlawful for  the
<br />								,		parent, guardian or other adult having the
<br />									care and custedy of a minor under the age
<br />									of  18  years of age to permit  such  minor
<br />									to  loiter,  idle  or  be  in  upon  the  public
<br />									streets,  hi.ghways,  roads,  alleys,  parlcs,
<br />									playgrounds, ar other public grounds, pub-
<br />								.		]ic pfaces and bvildings, places of amuse-
<br />									ment,  entertainment  or  refreshment,  va-
<br />									cant lots, or other unsunercised places be-
<br />									tween the hours of 10:00 dclcek P.M. and
<br />									5:00  dclock  A,M,  di  the  following  day;
<br />									provided,  hawever,  that the provisions  of
<br />									this section shall not apply when the min-
<br />								'		or  is  accUmpanied by  his or her  parettt,
<br />									gnardian  ar  other  adult  person  having
<br />									the care and custody of the minor or when
<br />								'		the minor is upon  same necessary errand
<br />									by  written permission  or direction aE  his
<br />									or her parent, gnardian or other adult per-
<br />									son  having  the care  and  custody  of  the
<br />									minor.
<br />								  	Section  4. It  shall be nnlawful  for any
<br />							 	,		person,  firm  or  mrporation  oPerating  dr
<br />									in charge of any place of amusement, en-
<br />									tertainment, or reEreshment to permit any
<br />									mindr under  the  age o(  18  years of age
<br />									to remain in  such  place during the hours
<br />									prohibited  by  this  ordinance;  provided,
<br />									however,  that  the pravisions of this ordi-
<br />									nance  shall  ndt  apply  when  such  minor
<br />									is accompanied by his or her parent, guar-
<br />									dian  or  other  adult  person  having  the
<br />									care and custody of the minar.
<br />								  	Section 5. The Mayor, updn the re4uest
<br />									of  the  Superintendent  of  any  schools  in
<br />									the County of Ramsey may designate cer-
<br />									tain  nights  during the  school  as "SchUnl
<br />									Nights" or "Youth Nights" at such times
<br />									as  said  schools  shali be  engaged in ath-
<br />									letic,  musical,  dramatic  or  sacia]  activi-
<br />									ties  for  the  benefit  Qr  entertainment  af
<br />									its students.  The provisions of Sections 2
<br />									or 3  of this ardinance shall not apply td
<br />									any student nnder the age of  18 years of
<br />									age  or  to  his  parent,  guardian  or  other
<br />									adult persun havixlg the care and custody
<br />									attendtng  or  retvrning  from  any  such
<br />									school  function dn  any designated "Schaol
<br />									NighY"  ar  "Youth Night".
<br />								  	Sectian  6. A.ny minor under the age of
<br />									18 years, or any parent, guardian or ath-
<br />									er adult  persan having the care and cus-
<br />									tody of a minor under the age of 18 years
<br />									or  any, person,  Eirm  or  corporation,  wha
<br />									shal] violat any of the terms or pravisions
<br />									nf  such  minar who  is  lawfully  going to,
<br />									of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
<br />									demeanor  and  shall,  upon  conviction  be
<br />									Punished by a fine af ndt ta exceed St00.-
<br />									00  or  by  imprisonment  ia  the  County
<br />									Jail not to exceed  90 days.
<br />								  	Section 7. T'his ardinance shall take et-
<br />									fect and be in force fiFteen (15) days iram
<br /> ~									and after its passage and  publicaticm.
