<br /> The Village Ccuncil of the Village of
<br /> Arden Hills does hereby ordain as follcws:
<br /> Section I, Ordinance No. 23 is hereby
<br /> repealed.
<br /> Sectior_ 2. It shall 6e unlawful for axjy
<br /> minor under the age of 18 years to loit-
<br /> ter, idle or be in or upon the public
<br /> streets, highways, roads, a}leys, parks,
<br /> p!aygrounds or o'ther public grounds, pub-
<br /> tic places and public buildings, places of
<br /> amusement, entertainment, car reFresh-
<br /> - inent, vacar,t lots or other unsupervised
<br /> places between the haurs of 10:00 o'clack
<br /> P.M. and 5:00 o'clock A.M. the following
<br /> day; provided, however, that the provisiori
<br /> of this section shall not ap[tly to such
<br /> minor accompanied by his or her parent,
<br /> guardian o'r other havir.g the care and
<br /> custody of the minar or when the minor
<br /> is upon some necessary errand by per-
<br /> mission or direction df his or her parents,
<br /> guardian or ather adult person having the
<br /> care and custody of the ininor, which said
<br /> Permission shail be in writing and signed
<br /> by such parent, guardian ar other adu:t
<br /> person.
<br /> Sectian 3. It shall be unlawful for the
<br /> parent, guardian or other adu:t naving the
<br /> care and custody of a minor vnder the age
<br /> of 18 years of age to permit such minor
<br /> to loiter, idle ar be in upon the puhlic
<br /> streets, highways, roads, alleys, parlcs,
<br /> playgrounds, ar other public grounds, pub-
<br /> lic places and buildings, places of amuse-
<br /> ment, entertainment or refreshment, va-
<br /> . cant lots, or other unsapervised places be-
<br /> tween the hours of 10:00 o'clock P.M. and
<br /> 5:00 a'clock A.M. di the following day;
<br /> provided, hbwever, that the rovisions of
<br /> this section shall not apply w~en the min-
<br /> or is accdmpanied by his or her parent,
<br /> gaardian ar other advlk person having
<br /> the care and custody of the minor or when
<br /> the minor is upon soYne necessary errand
<br /> by written permission or direction aF his
<br /> or her parent, guardian or other adult ger-
<br /> son having the care and custody aE the
<br /> minor.
<br /> Sectian 4. It shall be unlawful for any
<br /> person, firnt or corporation operating dr
<br /> m charge of any place of amusement, en-
<br /> tertainment, or refreshment to permit any
<br /> mino`r under the age of 18 years of age
<br /> to remain in such place during the hnurs
<br /> prohibited by this ordinance; provided,
<br /> however, that the pravisions of this ordi-
<br /> nance shall nat apply when such minpr
<br /> ic accompanied by hiS or her parent, guar-
<br /> dian or cther adult person having the
<br /> care and custcdy o[ the minar.
<br /> Section 5. The Mayor, uPUn the request
<br /> of the Superintendent of any schools in
<br /> the County of Ramsey may designate cer-
<br /> tain nights during the school as "Schuo]
<br /> Nights" or "Youth Nights" at such times
<br /> as said schools shall he engaged in ath-
<br /> letic, musical, dramatic or social activi-
<br /> ties Eor the benefi4 qr entertainment aF .
<br /> its students. The provisions of Sections 2
<br /> or 3 of this ardinance shall not apply to
<br /> any student under the age of 18 years of
<br /> age or to his parent, guardian or other
<br /> 3du[t persnn haviag the care and custody
<br /> attending or returniug from any such
<br /> school function an any designated "SchooI
<br /> Night" ar "Youth Night".
<br /> Sectian 6. A,ny minor tutder the age of
<br /> 18 years, or any parent, guardian or oth-
<br /> er adnlt persan having the care and cus-
<br /> tody of a minor under the age af 18 qears
<br /> ~ or any person, firm or corporation, wha
<br /> shall violate anp of the terms ar pravisions
<br /> o,f such minor who is lawfully going tq
<br /> of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
<br /> demeanor and shall, upon conviction be
<br /> punished by a fine of not to exceed $f00.-
<br /> 00 or by imprisonment in the County
<br /> Jail not to eacceed 90 days.
<br /> Section 7. This ordinance shal] take et-
<br /> I fect and be in force fifteen (15) days fram
<br /> and a[ter its passage aad perblicatiun.
