<br /> '								    	The  Village  Cauncil  of the  Village  o[
<br />								  	Arden Hills does hereby ordain as foUows:
<br />								    	Section  I.  Qrdinance  No.  23  is hereby								~
<br />								  	repealed.
<br />								    	Sectiom  2.  It shall be unlawful for any
<br />								  	minor under the  age of  18  years Uo  loit-
<br />								  	ter,  idle  or  be  in  or  upon  the  public
<br />								  	streets,  highways,  roads,  alleys,  parks,
<br />								  	playgrounds or other public grounds, pvb-
<br />								  	lic  places  and  public  buildings,  places  of
<br />								  	amusement,   	entertainment,  o,r  re(resh-
<br />								  	ment,  vacar.t  lats  or  other  unsupervised								~
<br />								  	places between the hours of  10:00 o'clack
<br />								  	P.M.  and 5:00 o'clock A.M. the fallawing
<br />								  	day; provided, however, that the provisian
<br />								  	of  this  section  shall  not  apply  to  such
<br />								  	minor  accompanied by  his or her  parent
<br /> ,								  	guardian  ar  other  having  the  care  an~
<br />								  	custody  of  the minor  or when  the  minor
<br />								  	is  upon  some  necessarp  errand  by  per-
<br />								  	mission pr direction of his or her parents,
<br />								  	guardian or other adult persott having the
<br />								  	care and custody of the "minor, which  said
<br />								  	permission  shal]  be in writinq and  signed
<br />								  	by  such  parent,  guardian  ar  other  adu'.t
<br />								  	person.
<br />								   	Sectidn  3.  It  shall be  unlawful for the
<br />								  	pareut, guardian or other adult having the
<br />								  	care and custody of a minor under the age
<br />								  	of  18  years af age to permit  such  minor
<br />								  	to  lmter,  idle  or  be  in  upon  the  public
<br />								  	streets,  highways,  roads,  alleys,  parks,
<br />								 	playgrounds, ar other public grounds, pub-
<br />								  	]ic  places and lwildings,  places of amuse-
<br />								  	ment,  entertainment  or  refreshment,  va-
<br />								 	cant lots, or other unsuperr•ised places be-
<br />								 	tween the hours of 10:00 o'clock P.M. and
<br />								 	5:00  o'clock  A.M.  of  the  following  day;
<br />								 	provided,  hawever,  that  the provisions  of
<br />								 	this section shall not apply when the min.
<br />								 	or  is  accdmpanied by  his or  her  parent,
<br />								 	guardian  ar  other  adult  person  having
<br />								 	the care and custody of the minor or when
<br />								 	the minor is upon  svme necessary errand
<br />								 	by  written  permission  or direction  of  his
<br />								 	or her parent, gnardian or other adult per_
<br />								 	son  having  the care  and  custody  of the
<br />								 	minor.
<br />								   	Sectian  4. It  shall be unlawful  for any
<br />								 	persan,  firm  or  oorporation  operating  dr
<br />								 	m charge of atty place of amusement, en_
<br />								 	tertainment, or refreshment ta permit any
<br />								 	mindr tuider  the  age of  18  qears of age
<br />								 	to remain in  such place durtng the hours
<br />								 	prohibited  bq  this  ordinance;  provided,
<br />								 	however, that the pravisions of this ordi-
<br />								 	nance  shall  ndt  apply  when  such  minqr
<br />								 	is accompanied by his or her parent, gunr_
<br /> '								 	dian  or  other  adult  person  having  the
<br />								 	care and custody of the minar.
<br />								  	Section 5. The Mayor, upan the request
<br />								 	of  the  Superintendent  of  any  schools  in
<br />								 	the County of Ramsey may designate cer-
<br />								 	tain  niqhts  during the  school  as  "Schaal
<br /> '								 	Nights" or "Youth Nights" at such times
<br />								 	as  said  schools  shail be  engaged in ath-
<br />								 	letic,  musical,  dramatie  or  sacial  activi-
<br />								 	ties  for  the  benefit  or  entertainment  af
<br />								 	its students.  The provisions of Sections 2
<br />								 	or 3  of  this ordinance shalI not apply  td
<br />								 	any student uttder the age of  18 years of
<br />								 	age  or  to  his  parent,  guardian  or other
<br />								 	3dult  persun havmg the care and custody
<br />								 	attending  or  returning  from  any  such
<br />								 	school  function an any designated "Schoo]
<br />									Night" or  •'Yonth NighY'.
<br />								  	Sectian  6. Any mdnor under the age of
<br />   	~						     	18 Years, or any parent, guardian or uth-
<br />									er adult  persoai having the care and cus-
<br />									tody of a minor under the age df 18 years
<br />									or  any  person,  [irm  or  corporation,  wha
<br />									shall violate any of the terms ur provisions
<br />									~f such  minor who  is  ]awfnlly  going to,
<br />									of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
<br />									demeanor  and  shall,  upon  conviction  be
<br />									Punished by a fine of ndt to exceed $r00.-
<br />									00  or  by  imprisonment  in  the  County
<br />									Jail not to eacceed  90 days.
<br />								  	Sectioa 7. T'his ordinance shall take et-
<br />									fect and be in force fifteen (15) days fram
<br />									and alter  its passage and  publicatidn.
