Motion to Approve the Order to Remove Hazardous Building and <br />Contents at 3150 Hamline Avenue <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember McClung <br />seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar as amended and to <br />authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The <br />motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />5. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Motion to Approve Resolution 2008-038: A Resolution Appointin2 <br />Election Jud2es for the 2008 Primary and General Election. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Noah Simon stated that this resolution was <br />appointing election judges for the 2008 primary and general elections. He also <br />stated that the people listed are those that the City is aware of to date. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung stated that he had requested this item be pulled because <br />one of the judges is a relative of his. He stated that since this position is typically <br />compensated for their time he would normally not vote on the resolution. He stated <br />that since Ms. Dorothy McClung is not accepting payment for her services he <br />would be voting on the resolution. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden stated that this was the first time the City has appointed <br />Assistant Deputy Clerks and would like clarification regarding the reasons the City <br />is doing so. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Simon stated that after attending a meeting it was <br />recommended that the City appoint Assistant Deputy Clerks because there is <br />expected to be a large turnout this year and this would provided Staff an <br />opportunity to deal with election items, be more efficient, and provide greater <br />flexibility. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked how much time involvement was expected. <br />
