COUNCIL COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung stated that last Tuesday, August 5, 2008, was National <br />Night Out and the City had a very good turnout with 18 organized neighborhood <br />parties. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked if City Administrator Moorse could put together a <br />wallet sized contact card for Staff and Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated that the park signs in Roseville are similar to those <br />in Arden Hills because they are from the same manufacturer. He also stated that the <br />signs in Roseville looked like they had received some maintenance or wood <br />treatment. He requested that Staff follow up with the manufacturer to find out what <br />type of maintenance or preservative should be done on the park signs to protect the <br />City's investment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated that there was progress at the Holiday Inn. He <br />stated that the large sign had been removed, some of the traffic barriers are in, and <br />there was work being done on the interior. He stated that it had been suggested to <br />him that a trail from the Holiday Inn area going north toward Cub Foods would be a <br />good feature. He asked if this information could be passed along to the owner of <br />the Holiday Inn, Rob Davidson, when future redevelopment is done. <br /> <br />City Planner James Lehnhoff stated that there is a path going in that will go up to <br />and include the railroad track. He stated that there had been a delay on completing <br />this due to CP Rail. He also stated that Mr. Davidson was aware that when future <br />development is done there would have to be an official path required on both sides <br />of this property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked if this path would be in by fall. He also asked if this <br />path would be in the back parking lot of the Holiday Inn. <br /> <br />City Planner Lehnhoff stated that according to the Interim Use Permit it was <br />required. He stated that CP Rail is expecting to get the concrete portion, over the <br />railroad tracks, completed over the next couple of weeks. He also stated that this <br />
