<br />/~ <br /> <br /> <br />Request for Quote: 2009 Pavement Manat!ement Prot!ram (PMP) <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills is seeking quotes for a feasibility report, final design, contract <br />administration, and construction administration, inspection and staking for the 2009 PMP <br />('''Glenarden Neighborhood.") <br /> <br />GENERAL PROJECT SCOPE <br /> <br />The City's Capital Improvement Plan identifies a street reconstruction project for the 2009 <br />Pavement Management Program. The residential streets slated for reconstruction are located in <br />the Glenarden Neighborhood, and include the streets listed below. The total length of the project <br />is approximately 1.43 miles. The Pavement Condition Indices (PCI) for these streets range from <br />8 to 39. F easibilitv Reoort <br />The Consultant shall provide preliminary engineering services for the proposed project, including <br />field reviews of the project site as necessary and preparation of presentation graphics and exhibits <br />for public information meetings. The Consultant shall prepare a feasibility report containing the <br />project description, background information, engineer's estimate, recommendations, approximate <br />timeline, and the Minnesota 429 process for assessments. The report should provide the <br />approximate project cost and the estimated assessments. A preliminary storm water design <br />should also be included in the report. <br /> <br />City staff conducted two neighborhood meetings (June 2007, December 2007) in preparation of <br />the feasibility report in order to educate the public and to promote project involvement. Staff <br />anticipates one to two more meetings with the residents prior to presenting the feasibility report to <br />the City Council. Following the presentation to City Council and subsequent public hearing, the <br />City Council may decide not to move forward with the project. If that is the case, consultant <br />work pertaining to final design and construction services would not be needed. <br /> <br />II. Final Desifln <br />If the project is ordered for construction by the City Council, the Consultant will prepare final <br />plans and specifications. Arden Hills City staff will provide utility information as needed for the <br />project. Final plans and specifications will be prepared to City standards. <br />
