<br />Plans should include: <br />· Title Sheet <br />· Quantity Sheet <br />· Storm Sewer Sheets <br />· Sanitary Sewer / Watermain Sheets <br />· Plan / Profile Sheets <br />· Cross Section Sheets (cross sections every 50 feet and at driveways and <br />intersecti ons ) <br /> <br />Final plans and specifications will be submitted to City staff for review and comment. Consultant <br />shall also work with private utilities to coordinate any work that they identify in the project area. <br /> <br />Permitting <br />Complete permitting for the project. Permits which may be required include: <br /> <br />1. Rice Creek Watershed District <br />2. Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (NPDES and SWPPP) <br />3. Department of Natural Resources <br />4. Minnesota Department of Health <br />5. Minnesota Department of Transportation <br /> <br />Easements <br />The Consultant will identify and acquire any needed easements. Every effort will be made to <br />have easement issues resolved prior to the award of the construction contract. Acquisition efforts <br />include meeting with property owners, addressing their concerns, preparation of legal <br />descriptions, exhibits, and easement documents. <br /> <br />Assessn1ents <br />The Consultant shall prepare the preliminary and final assessment rolls. <br /> <br />Bidding Phase <br />The Consultant will provide bidding phase services, including advertisements for bids, bidding <br />documents, address contractor questions, issue addenda, and assist in conducting the bid opening. <br />The Consultant will check the bids, provide detailed bid tabulation, and provide a <br />recommendation of award to the City Council. <br /> <br />Ill. Construction Services <br /> <br />Project Construction Observation <br />The Consultant will provide construction observation services. The Construction Observer <br />should be available 40-50 hours per week on the project during construction activity. The <br />Construction Observer will track project quantities. The Construction Observer must also <br />complete daily reports and submit them to the City at the end of each week. The Construction <br />Observer must perform erosion control inspection and implement the storm water pollution <br />prevention plan for the project. The Construction Observer must be readily available to answer <br />questions and help facilitate communication to residents in the construction zone. Construction <br />testing will be coordinated by the Consultant, but will be provided by others and will be billed <br />directly to Arden Hills by the firm performing the work. <br /> <br />2 <br />
