Community Development Director Lehnhoff replied that they were looking <br />for how to determine a hotel from a motel. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stodola suggested amending Part B2 to say something like "encourage a <br />restaurant. " <br /> <br />Commissioner Reiff proposed striking Condition B. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Commissioner Reiff moved, seconded by Commissioner Stodola, to strike Condition B <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson stated that her preference would be to leave Condition B in and <br />allow a variance if it comes up. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa inquired whether they could strike Condition B. <br /> <br />Chair Larson stated that he would like to recommend striking it. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa stated that he did n0t believe a motion is appropriate at this time. <br /> <br />Chair Larson stated he would strike the motion on the floor. Additional discussion <br />ensued regarding Condition B. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated that an official motion could be made <br />at a later time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa stated that this could still be discussed after a motion is made. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman, to approve <br />Planning Case 08-028; B2 District Design Standards, as amended. <br /> <br />The motion carried (5-2). Chair Larson and Commissioner Thompson opposed. <br /> <br />Additional discussion ensued regarding the use of bicycles. <br /> <br />Chair Larson stated that the consensus of the Commission on Subd. 7B regarding bicycles <br />is to leave the wording as is. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman, to amend the <br />original Ordinance as the amendments were proposed in the presentation earlier from the <br />base document. <br />
