Chimney seals and solid manhole covers will also be placed on all sanitary sewer <br />manholes. <br /> <br />Storm Sewer <br />The existing storm sewer system will be improved and expanded throughout the neighborhood. <br />Best management practices, such as rain gardens, infiltration swales, and other features will also <br />be incorporated into the project in order to meet the Rice Creek Watershed District's water <br />quality requirements. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />The estimated total project cost for the improvements is $1,948,815.33, including engineering <br />fees. Consistent with the Assessment policy, an additional 37% overhead for the street <br />improvements has been included, which was used to calculate preliminary assessment rates.
