�1R�EN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: June 3, 2009 PC Agenda Item S.A TO: Planning Commission FROM: Charles Roberts, Administrative Intern SUBJECT: Report from the City Council May 11, 2009, City Council Meetin As part of this meeting, the City Council pulled Planning Case #09-006 of of the consent calendar for further discussion. This case was a CUP Amendment for Bethel' Un1VerSlty t0 extend the use of the temporary classroom building for an additional threeear y s (approved by the Planning Commission at their April 8, 2009, meeting). The Council h additional g) had some additional questions about the length of the agreement and ultimatelyapproved the request pp q unanimously. The other planning case on the consent calendar, the variance for a second -story garage dormer at 1156 Amble Drive (Planning Case #09-007, approved by the Planning Commission at their May 6, 2009, meeting), was not pulled and passed unanimously. Y Meagan Beekman also presented Planning Case #09-005 to the Cit Coun ' y cil, the site plan review and height variance for Phase II of the Northwestern Colle e campus College p Master PUD. The Planning Commission approved this proposal at their May 6 2009 meeting. y ting. The Council had questions pertaining to the height and intended LEED certification of the' Community Life Commons building. There was also some discussion about potentially revising .. p y adding or revising conditions regarding sound generation on the Campus Green though the p g Council chose to remain with the existing conditions of approval.
