<br />Safe Routes to School Project/DNR Project Update - 06/09/09 <br /> <br />In order to ensure that Federal Aid has adequate time to review and approve these items, staffhas <br />set a deadline of September 18 for submittal to Mn/DOT Federal Aid for initial review of the <br />first three items. Staff is confident that we will meet the funding deadline. <br /> <br />Once the project has all of the required approvals, the project will be advertised for bid. Staffis <br />anticipating construction in early spring 2010. The entire project should take 8-12 weeks. <br /> <br />The only other deadline is for the DNR Grant funds; they must be utilized by June 30,2010 and <br />cannot be extended. The project specifications would stipulate that the Perry Park portion of this <br />project be completed by June 12, 2010. This is to ensure that we meet the DNR Grant deadline. <br /> <br />8 <br />
