• Lake Owasso County Park Redevelopment <br /> • Goodrich Golf Course Protective Safety Fence <br /> • Capital Asset Management-Golf Courses <br /> • Capital Asset Management-Administration/Maintenance Center <br /> Mr. Jenni moved, seconded by Mr. Huntrods, that the Commission recommend <br /> approval of the 2010-2015 Capital Improvement Program. Motion carried. <br /> KELLER REGIONAL PARK REDEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br /> Three sites at the park will be redeveloped beginning in 2009: The Island site, Lakeside <br /> site and Lower Keller site. New picnic shelters will be constructed at the Island and <br /> Lakeside picnic areas and a picnic shelter and restroom building will be constructed at <br /> the Lower Keller picnic area. An additional $2.6 million will be necessary to complete <br /> shelter and restroom construction in the park. <br /> Mr. Jenni moved, seconded by Mr. Huntrods, that the Commission recommend <br /> approval of the Keller Regional Park redevelopment plans. Motion carried. <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Mr. Mack reported: <br /> He anticipates adjustments in the operating budgets once the State budget <br /> information is available. The Governor's proposed budget includes a 10% cut in <br /> the general fund appropriation for regional parks. <br /> • $17.5 million in requests for Federal stimulus money were submitted for parks. <br /> Ramsey County may receive funding for some trail projects through <br /> appropriations for enhancements under the Federal Highway Program. <br /> The County Board will meet on February 24, 2009 to discuss strategies and <br /> priorities for upcoming operating budget discussions. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Upon appropriate motion, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Vicki Dahlquist <br /> 3 <br />
