<br /> Chair Straumann asked for a motion to approve the minutes of April 14 2009. Mr.

<br /> ACTIVE LIVING RAMSEY COUNTY! PROGRAM UDPATE
<br /> Ms. Bernardy, the Active Living Ramsey County Coordinator, provided an update of the
<br /> Active Living Ramsey County activities. Active Living Ramsey County meetings are
<br /> held quarterly on the 2nd Monday of the month and she would welcome an of the Parks
<br /> Y
<br /> Commission members to attend. Ms. Bernardy has provided the following link to the

<br /> REVIEW OF FINAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR KELLER REGIONAL
<br /> PARK
<br /> Mr. Wehrle updated the Parks Commission on the progress of the Keller Regional Park
<br /> g g
<br /> restroom and picnic shelter construction project. The County Board approved a rant
<br /> pP g
<br /> with the Ramsey-Washington Watershed District on May 19, 2009, for improvements to
<br /> the Spoon Lake area of Keller Regional Park. Shelters will be constructed at the Island,
<br /> Lakeside and Lower picnic areas. Restroom building, new roadwayand parking lot will
<br /> p g
<br /> be constructed at the Lower site. Construction of a restroom building at the Round Lake
<br /> site will be included in the plans and will be added to the contract if funds are available.
<br /> Future construction includes plans for 3 shelters at the Golfview site and a small shelter
<br /> at the Round Lake site.
