_ <br />��i EN HILL <br />S <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: October 12, 2009 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />FROM: Greg Hoag, Public Works Director <br />_ _ __ _ . ____ _ <br />. _ _ _ Krlstine Giga, _Civil �ngineer _ <br />SUBJECT: 2010 Pavement Management Program- Engineering Services and <br />Order Feasibility Report <br />Back�round <br />The City of Arden Hills approved an engineering consultant pool on August 27, 2007 for <br />use on specialized projects or projects that the City of Roseville's Engineering <br />Department may not have the capacity to assist with. <br />The 2010 Pavement Management Program consists of the following streets: <br />Valentine Crest Road, from Valentine Avenue to cul-de-sac, <br />Valentine Avenue, from Lake Valentine Road to Old Highway 10, <br />Valentine Court, from Valentine Avenue to cul de sac, <br />Janet Court, from Lake Valentine Road to cul-de-sac, <br />Katie Lane, from Cleveland Avenue to 1272 feet south, <br />Katie Court, from Katie Lane to cul-de-sac, <br />A scope of work was prepared for completing the data collection (topographic survey), <br />feasibility report/preliminary design, �'inal design, and construction services. City staff <br />reviewed proposals submitted by the firms in its municipal engineering pool, and is <br />recommending WSB & Associates, Inc. for this work. <br />Discussion <br />Proposals were submitted by all four firms in the municipal engineering pool: Bolton & <br />Menk, Inc., Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., MFRA, and WSB & Associates, Inc. <br />This contract will be a not to exceed cost based on actual hours spent on the proj ect.
