Pending Council Action, it is anticipated Bolton & Menk, Inc_ will be <br />retained by the City to work with the railroad on the final design - <br />Justification <br />The PTRC has identified the Snelling Regional Trail as a priority in its 2006 Strategies_ The CP Rail Bridge is a mayor bottle neck and needs to be <br />done before or at the same time as the trail_ The Canadian Pacific Railroad is willing to discuss bridge improvements with the City_ The PTRC <br />recommended bridge improvements to the west side and the Council concurred with that and hopes to move forward with engineering in 2009 and <br />construction in 20l 0.
