EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: October 19, 2009 Item 1.E <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />FROM: Meagan Beekman, City Planner <br />SUBJECT: Chapter 5, Alcoholic Beverage Regulations <br />Requested Action <br />Discuss the proposed amendments to Chapter 5 of the City Code regarding the City's <br />Liquor Regulations, and amendments to the 2009 Fee Schedule regarding penalties for <br />violations to the minor consumption law, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Background <br />The City Council reviewed proposed amendments to Chapter 5 of the City Code and the <br />2009 Fee Schedule at the September 28, 2009, regular meeting. At the meeting the City <br />Council had a number of questions regarding the amendments and how they impact <br />existing City regulations, administrative fines for the violation of minor consumption <br />laws, and the implementation of an optional server training program. The City Council <br />directed staff to do additional research regarding these items and to bring the proposed <br />changes back to a work session. <br />Attached are revised changes to Chapter 5 and the City's 2009 Fee Schedule <br />(Attachments A and B).
