Council Comments and Requests (continued) <br /> City Administrator Moorse stated that he had gotten responses to a majority of the <br /> questions and was expecting the remainder to be answered in the next few days. He <br /> would forward this information to the Council. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if Council was getting an analysis for I&I as they <br /> had requested. <br /> Public Works Director Hoag stated that he had talked to Mr. Janski at Bonestroo <br /> and they are still working with the Met Council to get answers. The 2010 work <br /> plan was submitted last Friday and it is similar to the work plan for 2009 as far as <br /> the range of things that the City will be working on. As the data is received there <br /> will be a 2009 update for the Council. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if the City had requested to have the surcharge <br /> removed. <br /> Public Works Director Hoag stated that they have not yet asked to have the <br /> surcharge removed. Staff has asked what the steps are to get the surcharge <br /> removed. Met Council has stated that they have not removed any surcharges yet. <br /> Councilmember Grant stated that he thought New Brighton had their surcharge <br /> dropped. <br /> Public Works Director Hoag stated that he would follow up with New Brighton <br /> and he will provide an update in the Admin Update. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if the surcharge was based on a three year average. - <br /> Mayor Harpstead stated that it was a three year average. As the City improves, <br /> the average will go down making it more difficult for the City to comply. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if the seasonal help had finished for the year. <br /> Public Works Director Hoag stated that there were no seasonal help on staff as of <br /> last Friday. <br /> Councilmember Grant stated that there were a lot of charges for tree trimming in <br /> claims and payroll. He asked where these trees were and why there were so many. <br />
