PULLED CONSENT ITEMS
None.
64, PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Public Hearing for 2010 Pavement Management Program
Ms. Diane Hankee, WSB & Associates, Inc., reviewed the feasibility report, the
background for the project being proposed and the proposed improvements to each
area. The areas that are included in the reconstruction project include: Valentine
Avenue, Valentine Court, and Valentine Crest Road. The roads included in the
mill and overlay project include: Janet Court, Katie Lane, and Katie Court. The
concerns of the residents were covered including road width, parking, the types of
curbs, and problems with roots in sanitary sewer service lines. She also outlined
the proposed utility improvements and storm water improvements. The estimated
project costs were reviewed for two different options and the funding for these two
options was also reviewed including assessment information. The two options
were a State Aid option that is a wider road for Valentine Avenue and would
include the use of State Aid funds, option 2 does not use State Aid funds and
Valentine Road would be twenty-four feet wide.
Councilmember Grant asked what properties would be considered more than one
unit for assessment purposes.
Mr. Hankee stated those properties that could be more than one residential unit are
1645 Valentine Avenue and 4093 Valentine Crest Road.
Civil Engineer Kristine Giga stated that the property at 4093 Valentine Crest
Road is a similar situation to one that occurred in the 2009 PMP Project where the
home sits in the middle of the two properties and in order to divide the property the
home would have to be moved.
