City Planner Beekman stated that this was the public hearing and the City Council <br /> would not be having another one. <br /> Commissioner Holewa pointed out that during the discussions on the <br /> Comprehensive Plan it was noted that Arden Hills is an aging community. As <br /> people get older they have less money and may not be able to rebuild their homes <br /> closer to the lake as the homes surrounding them do. He stated this would not be <br /> fair to the homeowner who did not have the resources to build closer to the lake. <br /> Chair Larson stated that the regulations are being reviewed and updated in order <br /> to clarify points. <br /> Commissioner Modesette pointed out that no matter what the regulations will not <br /> satisfy everyone. <br /> Commissioner Zimmerman moved seconded bv Commissioner Holewa to <br /> recommend approval of Planning Case 09-003 to amend Sections 1305.04 <br /> 1325.07 and 1330 of the Zonine Code re ardin the Ci 's Shoreland <br /> Re ulations as presented in the February 3 2010 Planninp,Case Report with <br /> the revisions recommended by Staff and the removal of the phrase "minus 10 <br /> feet" in Section 1330.03,Subd.4, at the end of the first sentence. <br /> Commissioner Holewa moved to add language that the auxiliary structure <br /> can not be used to store water crafts and it can not be wider than ten feet as <br /> viewed from the lake. The motion failed due to lack of a second. <br /> The original motion was called to a vote. <br /> The motion failed <br /> Ayes—Commissioners Holewa, Zimmerman,Thompson <br /> Mays—Chair Larson, Commissioners Reiff, Modesette <br /> Commissioner Reiff moved seconded bv Commissioner Modesette to <br /> recommend approval of Planning Case 09-003 to amend Sections 1305.04, <br /> 1325.07 and 1330 of the Zonint. Code regarding the City's Shoreland <br /> Re ulations as presented in the February 3 2010 Plannin,g Case Report with <br /> the revisions recommended by Staff. <br /> Commissioner Holewa stated the motion is out of order because it is the same as <br /> the motion that was just voted on. <br /> Chair Larson ruled that the motion was different and could be voted on by the <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> The motion was called to a vote. <br />
