Proposed Noise Advisor_y Committee Members <br />Staff posted information about the NAC on the City website, and asked residents <br />interested in participating to contact the City. Staff also spoke with directly with <br />residents throughout the proj ect area to determine interest or take suggestions on people <br />who may be interested in participating. To date, the following have responded to staff and <br />expressed interest in serving on the committee: <br />Patrick Haik, 1550 Briarknoll Drive <br />Bruce Kunkel, Bethel University <br />Evan Ruotsinoj a, 4113 James Circle <br />George Winiecke, 4175 Old Highway 10 <br />Staff is still seeking one resident from the central area of the Briarknoll neighborhood <br />(near Norma Avenue) and one resident from the southwest corner of I-694 and TH 10. <br />Several residents have been contacted and have stated they are not interested in <br />participating on the committee. Staff is currently following up with some suggestions <br />received by other residents, and will provide an update at the City Council meeting. <br />Financial Implications <br />As discussed at the February 16, 2010 City Council worksession, Chris Chromy, Bolton <br />& Menk, Inc. will be the City's engineering representative on the NAC. The cost for <br />Bolton & Menk's services is estimated to be $1,600 for approximately 12 hours of time, <br />which includes: participation at three NAC meetings, providing a summary memorandum <br />of each meeting, and additional time for follow-up with City and/or Mn/DOT staff, as <br />needed.
