Commissioner Holewa stated that he would not be in favor of this <br />motion due to the negative impact a fence would have on the trees and <br />vegetation. He also stated that this would be an additional cost to the <br />property owners. <br />Commissioner Stodola stated she would also vote against the motion <br />because she did not see the purpose a fence would serve. <br />Commissioner Zimmerman stated he would be in favor of this motion. <br />It would allow the City some action if there were complaints against <br />the property regarding trespassing or problems with the <br />communications tower. <br />Chair Larson called the motion to add condition 16 to a vote. <br />The motion failed (3-4). <br />Ayes — Commissioners Zimmerman, Reiff, Modesette <br />Nays — Chair Larson, Commissioners Holewa, Stodola, Thompson <br />Chair Larson called the original motion to a vote. <br />The motion carried (6-1). <br />A es — Chair Larson, Commissioners Zimmerman, Modesette, <br />y <br />Holewa, Thompson, Stodola <br />Nays — Commissioner Reiff <br />Commissioner Holewa stated that the City wants to see low cost <br />housing close to businesses and would like to ask Staff to look into <br />ways that this can be encouraged. He also sated the intention of the <br />tree ordinance was for existing properties not for those properties that <br />had not been previously developed and the City should not require a <br />developer to replace trees that had grown naturally. <br />
