Approve Ordinance 2008-010 for a Definition and Design <br />Standards Related to the B2 District as Presented in the November <br />24, 2008, Planning Case Report. Approve Publishing a Summary <br />of Ordinance 2008-010 <br />A2. <br />Community Development Director James Lehnhoff stated that the zoning code <br />changes impact three sections of the Zoning Code. He reviewed the changes for <br />Section 1305.04, Section 1320.04, Section 1320.06, Section 1320.085, and Section <br />1325.05 Subd. 8. He also reviewed the changes for the Sign Code. He stated that <br />on page 3, the District Requirements Chart, Item 9 should state "Maximum <br />Dwelling Unit — 20". He also clarified that the changes would not affect those <br />businesses that were currently in the B2 District unless they were planning to do <br />development in the future. <br />Councilmember Grant asked if this was the last meeting available before the <br />expiration of the moratorium. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated that the Council had a formal meeting on <br />December 1, 2008. <br />Finance Director Susan Iverson stated that this would not allow enough time for <br />the changes to be published. <br />Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated that the summaries needed to <br />be published in order to be considered approved. <br />Councilmember Holden asked if the maximum height of 50 feet for buildings <br />included structures that maybe placed on the tops of buildings. <br />
