<br />Subd.142 Recreation, residential. Play apparatus such as swing sets and slides,
<br />sandboxes, poles for nets, picnic tables, lawn chairs, barbecue stands, and similar
<br />equipment or structures, when used on residential property, but not including electronic
<br />towers, tree houses, swimming pools, playhouses exceeding twenty-five (25) square feet
<br />of floor area, or sheds utilized for storage of equipment.
<br />Subd. 143 Recreational Vehicles (RVs). Vehicles for recreational or utilitarian uses that
<br />can be driven, towed, or hauled. Including, but not limited to, motor homes and travel
<br />trailers, snowmobiles, pull campers, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), tent trailers, or other
<br />similar vehicles. (Revised 02107108)
<br />Subd. 144 Recreational Vehicles (for the purposes of Section 1335 only). A vehicle that
<br />is built on a single chassis, is 400 square feet or less when measured at the largest
<br />horizontal projection, is designed to be self-propelled or permanently towable by a light
<br />duty truck, and is designed primarily not for use as a permanent dwelling but as
<br />temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, travel, or seasonal use. For the
<br />purposes of Section 1335, the term recreational vehicle shall be synonymous with the
<br />term travel trailer/travel vehicle. (Added 05105110)
<br />Subd. 145 Recreational Vehicles, Utility Trailers, Riding Lawn Mowers, and Watercraft
<br />Height. The distance as measured from the ground to the highest point of the recreational
<br />vehicle, utility trader, or watercraft, including any covering, as stored. This does not
<br />including antennas and utility/mechanical systems provided they are accessory and take
<br />up no more than ten (10) percent of the roof surface area. RVs and watercraft on a trailer
<br />shall be measured as one. (Revised 02107108)
<br />Subd. 146 Recreational Vehicles, Utility Trailers, Riding Lawn Mowers, and Watercraft
<br />Length. The distance as measured from end to end of the recreational vehicle, utility
<br />trailer, or watercraft, including any hitch, motor, and covering, as stored. RVs and
<br />watercraft on a trailer shall be measured as one. (Revised 02107108)
<br />Subd. 147 Regional Flood. A flood which is representative of large floods known to
<br />have occurred generally in Minnesota and reasonably characteristic of what can be
<br />expected to occur on an average frequency in the magnitude of the 100-year recurrence
<br />interval. Regional flood is synonymous with the term "base flood", 1 percent annual
<br />chance flood, or 100-year elevation.
