Neither t�e Cantractor �or <br />�ontraetor Pe�sonne� shafl aperate or tamper with any signaf ar communication systems <br />or any other railway safety devices unless sp�ci�icaf�y au�horized �r�d c�uafified. <br />6.6 Whi�e rai�way traff�c is passing through, with�n 50 feet of the work area, the r�echanis�s <br />for securing rotating eq�ripment r�ust be used to prevent rotationa� movement. Bucke�s <br />on shavels must �e Eowered �o �he grour�d ta rest. 4pera�ors shalf get out of their <br />equipmen� anci posit�on themsefves in a safe area 20 fee� from the track as a minir�urr� <br />where possible. <br />V!/hen working in mu�ti-track territory Operators shall exit �o the nor�-live side of the track <br />and position themselves in a safe area 20 feet from the track as a mini�num where <br />possible �do not stand on or betwee� adjacent tracks}. <br />6.7 Canstruc�ion equipment parked on Railway property on nights or weekends shail be <br />secured in a safe pasit`ron wei� clear of all tracks to prevent accidenta! contact with trains <br />and moving equipmer�t and to not restrict train crew s�ghtlines. As r�uch as possible, <br />materiafs sha�l be stored in locations where they are not sub�ect to publ�c viewing �n <br />�nitialed by: 6 <br />
