E HtLL <br /> S <br /> Approved: June 14, 2010 <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> MAY 179 2010 <br /> 5:00 P.M. -ARDEN HILLS PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br /> CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Pro-Tem Fran Holmes called to order the <br /> special City Council meeting at 5:02 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor Stan Harpstead (arrived at 5:05 p.m.) Council Members David <br /> Grant, Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes and David McClung (arrived at 5:05 <br /> P.M.) <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also present: City Administrator, Patrick Klaers; Finance Director, Susan Iverson; <br /> Recreation Manager, Michelle Olson; and Civil Engineer, Kristine Giga <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> MOTION: Mayor Pro-Tem Holmes moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a <br /> motion to approve the meetin a enda as presented. The motion carried <br /> unanimously(3-0). <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> A. Sanitary Sewer Repair—Venus Avenue Easement <br /> Civil Engineer Giga presented the Council with information on the sanitary sewer repair that is <br /> located in the easement off of Venus Avenue. Quotes were received from three contractors with <br /> the low bid provided by American Liberty Construction, which is the same contractor working on <br /> the Elmer L. Andersen trail. <br /> Civil Engineer Giga indicated the first option to construct the sanitary sewer in place and <br /> clearing the cottonwood trees above it would cost $4,700. The second option to realign the <br /> p � <br /> sanitary sewer to avoid the cottonwood trees and construct two manholes around them would cost <br /> $900. <br />
