Ener�v Eff c�ency: A minimum of a thlr�y-f ve (35%) percent <br />�ncrease in overal} bui�d�ng e�erg� effc�er�ey as compared to the <br />Minnesota Energy Cade. Energy ef�ciency is to be de�ned by �he <br />use of purc�ased (benerated o�- refined at a separate s�te} or on-s�te- <br />generated fueis consumed per square foot of oceu�ied space. <br />Calcuiations can take �nto account �he �se of the following: <br />a. On-site generated renevvable energy, �nc��ding phatavolta�c, <br />wind, or hydro ge�erat�o� of electric�ty; passive solar sys�er�s using <br />solar heat or ��ght; �eathermal saur-ee; or other use of renewable <br />fue�s displaeing the use o� non-renewabl� �ue�s in the bu�Iding's <br />systems. <br />b. Effieiency of al� build�ng mechan�cal systems that burn, eonvert, <br />or �ransform the energy ir� natura� gas, e�ectr�city, oil, eaal, steam, or <br />purchased l�eat or eo�d in any form. <br />c.
