MATHEMATICAL SKILLS <br />Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. <br />Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to prepare a department budget. <br />OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <br />• Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate community development work <br />plans; develop goals, policies, plans and procedures related to management of the <br />department and development projects. <br />• Knowledge of local government functions and practices. <br />• Knowledge of State Statutes related to planning and economic development. <br />• Ability to maintain confidentiality. <br />• Considerable skill in using computer programs including Word, Excel, and Access. <br />• Ability to operate various types of office equipment. <br />• Knowledge of clerical and office procedures. <br />CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIDNS <br />Minnesota Class D Driver's License <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an <br />employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
