ARISEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JUNE 14, 2010 13 <br /> 8C. Lexington Avenue Sidewalk Project: Special Assessment Waiver Approval (continued) <br /> City Attorney Filla clarified that if the City were not to proceed with the project jointly., the City <br /> would pay 100%of the engineering. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br /> motion to Approve the Special Assessment Waiver with Inland Shannon <br /> Square Cub, LLC and Inland Shannon Square Shoppes, LLC as proposed in <br /> the June 14, 2010 memorandum as amended, with the interest rate 1% above <br /> the City's current rate of return in Item 3E. <br /> Councilmember Grant stated the 1% interest rate was suggested in the motion as Inland was <br /> assisting the City to complete a great trail segment. <br /> The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> D. City Administrator Onboarding Process—Brimeyer Fursman <br /> City Administrator Klaers stated part of the City Administrator Executive Search contract with <br /> Brimeyer Fursman includes an onboarding process. This onboarding process would include a <br /> discussion with the City Council and Richard during a July worksession to review the results of <br /> the survey. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated she would be in favor of proceeding with this process. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a motion <br /> to Authorize Staff to proceed with the Brimeyer Fursman onboarding process. <br /> The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> 9. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br /> Councilmember Holden requested the water along CR E-2 not be shut-off on Saturday, June 19, <br /> 2010, as numerous households in this neighborhood would be holding graduation parties. She <br /> suggested staff find a weekday for this shut down. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked that Staff get the Council minutes to the Council in a more timely <br /> manner. He then requested Staff review the current timeline of the Lexington Avenue sidewalk <br /> project. <br /> Parks and Recreation Manager Olson stated the next step would be to complete an RFQ. <br /> Mayor Harpstead requested a timeline for the CR10/CR96 and 694/Hamline projects to keep the <br /> Council advised on these issues before requesting municipal consent. <br /> Councilmember Grant indicated he received an email expressing concerns regarding water rates. <br /> He suggested Staff look into the water rates of neighboring communities and how they compare to <br /> current Arden Hills'rates. <br />
