"-Ott <br /> EN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> TUESDAY,June 15,2010 6:30 PM <br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Park and Recreation Manager Olson called the June 15, 2010, meeting of the Parks, Trails and <br /> Recreation Committee to order at 6:41 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Committee Members Cindy Garretson,Nancy O'Malley, Harold <br /> Petersen, Steve Scott, and Rich Straumann. <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: Park and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson and Charles Kachel. <br /> MEMBERS NOT PRESENVEXCUSED: Chair John Peck, Council Liaison David Grant, and <br /> Committee Member Jody Hilgers <br /> 1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Straumann motioned to approve the agenda as amended. <br /> Committee Member O'Malley seconded the motion. The motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES—May 18,2010 <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Petersen motioned to approve the May 18, 2010 minutes as <br /> amended, seconded by Committee Member O'Malley. The motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> 3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> A. Elmer L. Andersen Memorial Trail Shmne <br /> Ms. Olson presented the models that Mr. Hames designed for the Elmer L. Andersen <br /> Trail. She indicated the models are complete as is except for the change in wording to <br /> read, "Ramsey County and Arden Hills have worked together," and a minor change that <br /> the Elmer L. Andersen family made at the last minute. The models were presented to <br /> Council Monday evening and Council was pleased with the design and approved 4-0. <br /> Ms. Olson indicated she will be putting together an invoice for Ramsey County for the <br /> grant money and then will start on the process of getting this produced. Ms. Olson stated <br /> that the Elmer L. Andersen family has expressed interest in being involved in a <br /> dedication ceremony. Ms. Olson indicated she was thinking about havingthe <br /> ceremony <br /> this fall and possibly as part of the Celebrating Arden Hills Event. She indicated the four <br /> signs would be placed at three different sites: Glenpaul and Cleveland, which is the main <br /> entry to the Elmer L. Andersen trail; County Road E and Indian Place, which is the end <br />
