Kimley-Horn is experienced in municipal street reconstruction proj ects, Minnesota State <br />Aid design standards, bridge evaluation and design, storm water management, and <br />underground utility design. Kimley-Horn has also recently been working with the City on <br />the Elmer L. Anderson Memorial Trail Connections Proj ect and the County Road E <br />Bridge Improvements. City staff has had a positive experience with this firm and feels the <br />proposal that has been submitted best meets the intent of the proj ect and the City's needs. <br />Financial Implications <br />Engineering services will be paid for from the PIR Fund and Enterprise funds; these fees <br />will be incorporated into the total proj ect cost that will be assessed back to property <br />owners and potentially funded by State Aid dollars. The breakdown of proj ect fees is <br />attached in the proposal submitted by Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. <br />A total of $80,000 was included in the 2010 CIP for the completion of the scoping <br />document analyzing alternatives and the subsequent feasibility study. Approximately <br />60% of the budget is anticipated to be spent on the scoping document including <br />geotechnical investigation, Kimley-Horn services, and the City of Roseville engineering <br />staff.
