Suggest- ed feature story possibilities included: A historical sketch on Arden Hills; an article on the Arden Hills Police Department including suggestions on how to avert robberies, what to do if you are robbed; how to contact police, etc.; an issue on neighborhood associations, how many there are and their activites, and issues on Bethel and Northwestern Colleges. As editor of the Town Crier, I am asking for your response to these questions. Janet Hollenhorst Sec./Ed., Town Crier Remember last month's issue emphasizing the importance of filling in "City of Arden Hills" in the new Block D of Federal Tax Return Forms? The ques- tion was raised: "When did we stop being a Village and become a City? Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNeish responded that by legislative action all "Villages" became "City" for legal purposes sometime ago. However, the option was given to call yourself what you wanted for non -legal purposes and our Council opted for "Village". So we can consider ourselves and call ourselves in the old (and cozier) way, "Village of Arden Hills", at least among our- selves. New Committee Appointments: Janice Wallraff for a three-year term to the Human Rights Commission, and two new members for the Finance Committee - Mary Swenson and Paul Larson. • Published by The Arden Association ...+ No. 96 March 1976 T .
