City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br />August 3, 2010 <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that the Council had determined to release the Livable <br />Communities Grant in the amount of $781,000 that was programmed for the <br />redevelopment of Block 8 in Downtown. The developer, Beard Group, is not able to move <br />forward this year due to the housing market and financing problems. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reviewed a recent State Supreme Court decision that severely limits <br />City authority to grant variances. <br /> <br />VI. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner Wood to approve <br />minutes from the July 6 & July 13, 2010, meeting. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Larson to adjourn the <br />meeting at 7:27 p.m. All in favor.
