CITY OF CENTERVILLE ��,�� MONTHL Y ENGINEER'S REPORT For the )anuary 12, 2011 City Council Meeting '�St�� Italics = New information. Normal = No change from last report. 1. 21� Avenue/Backage Road (000616-05143-0). The p/at has been recorded and the wet/and and Rice Creek Watershed District permits have been c%sed out. The only remaining item is the pending court ruling on the assessment to the Sheehy property. 2. TE Grant Trail Project (000616-08165-0). A preconstruction meeting was held to discuss the project logistics and to initiate paperwork for the federal funding documentation needs. A second pre- construction meeting will be held in the sp�ing just prior to construction beginning. Greg Bu�meister wi// hand/e the p�imary inspection duties with support from Bonestroo federa/ funding experts check that the paperwork is being handled adequate/y. Thanks to the advanced work of City and Bonestroo staff, a/ong with excel%nt cooperation from the City's /oca/ private uti/ity operators, many of the necessary faci/ity re%ations have already taken p/ace. The remaining re%cations will occu� in the spring. 3. 2008 Downtown Storm Water Improvements (000616-08167-0). The th�ee separate contracts , for this project have all been awarded and construction has begun. The wet well has been insta//ed and the directiona/ drilling contractor has mobilized and is ready to begin if there is a stretch of more mild weather. 4. Peltier Lake Drive Area Street & Utility Improvements (2009.01) (000616-09169-0), 2009 Street Improvements (2009.02) (000616-09170-0). Final pay requests for each job have been prepared and sent to the contractor. The contractor replied with a list of concems regarding final payment issues The City res,nonded to this list of conce�ns with a/etter explaining our position on the issues. We have invited the cont�actor to attend the January 26�' City Council meeting if he wishes to address the council directty. We will be recommending that the City Council approve the fina/ pay requests at that time. 5. Community Development Block Grant Water Services Project (000616-10171-0). The project is nearing comp/etion. To date, 14 of the 25 services have been hooked up to City water. The rest have been installed into the home and are awaiting the contractor's p/umber to hook them up.
