City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 12, 2011 <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher questioned why this needed to be done. City <br />Administrator Larson explained that a receipt was posted by mistake to this parcel rather <br />than the adjoining one that was paid off This resolution places the assessment back on <br />the property. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Kine to adopt <br />Resolution #11-001 Placing Special Assessment Back on Anoka County Records for <br />(PIN#26-31-22-22-0050) Hunters Crossing. 3rd Addition. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Resolution 411-002 — Appointing Acting Mayor & Order of Succession <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to <br />adopt Resolution #11-002 Appointing Acting Mayor & Order of Succession. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Resolution 411-003 — Assigning Duties as they Relate to Handling Banking <br />Transactions <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />adopt Resolution #11-003 providing for authority relating to banking transactions. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />5. Resolution #11-004 — 2011 Appointments <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />adopt Resolution #11-004 — approving appointments to Committees/Commissions <br />for 2011. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />6. Planning & Zoning Commission Consideration of Amending City Code <br />Allowing Beekeeping <br />It was the consensus of the Council to recommend that Planning & Zoning move forward <br />with developing regulations that would permit beekeeping (honeybees) in the City. <br />7. Proposal to Decrease Mayor and Council Member Pay <br />Mayor Wilharber reviewed his written proposal for a 25% reduction in pay for Mayor <br />and Council Members. Each Council Member responded that the current pay was fair <br />considering the amount of time and work actually required to be a City Council Member. <br />There was little support to reduce the pay unless it was specifically earmarked for <br />increases for Committee/Commission members, pay increases for staff who are at 2009 <br />pay rates, or going paperless with Council using electronic notebooks or laptops. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
